REGISTRATION

Registration for Ferst Books

The parents of every infant born at Piedmont Henry Hospital (Henry County residents) are given the opportunity to register their child in Ferst Readers. These children will receive one free, age-appropriate book every month from birth to age 5. Children registered at birth and remaining in the program through age five will enjoy a home library of 60 books!

Reading specialists, children’s librarians, educators and child development specialists carefully select this 60-volume set of books. Many are childhood classics we all know and love.

Ferst Readers of Henry County currently has almost 2000 children on our registration rolls, receiving one book every month. We are not accepting new registrations at this time.

Read Ferst Subscription Program

What if the child in your life is outside of the Henry County subscription area?

Through the Read Ferst Subscription Program, children outside of our participating area – anywhere in the US, in fact – can be a part of the Ferst Readers exceptional literacy program. Grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, friends can give a truly meaningful gift to that special child! Imagine your gift arriving by mail, addressed to the child, every month – for up to 5 years! And beyond that, it lays the foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading.

Visit our Parent Organization at www.ferstreaders.org and sign up the special child in your life through the Read Ferst Subscription Program.
