This allows us to continue to be the difference in the lives of children, by helping them achieve early learning success through the gift of literacy?a gift that will last a lifetime.

Ferst Readers/Henry County Schools Fundraiser

Henry County Schools has partnered with Ferst Readers of Henry County for many years to raise awareness and funds for the purchase of Ferst books for preschool children in our community.? A ?Champion? in each participating school partners with a ?Mentor? (member of Ferst Henry Community Action Team) to brainstorm and implement a fundraising effort in that school.
Fundraisers have included ?Crazy Hat/Hair Day?, school dances, ?Teacher Jeans Day?, Harry Potter Trivia Night, Penny Wars, Chili Cook Offs, Yard Sales, Read-a-Thons, Media Center Coffee Sales, etc.

During the 2017-2018 school year, a record number 26 schools participated and raised a record amount–$14,000!? Those funds will allow 388 preschool children to receive one book each month for a year.? Thank you Henry County Schools!!
